Hi
I have been thinking a lot about the costs to improve technology. It's commonly known that the bigger you are, the more expensive it gets. However, I find that somewhat unrealistic. I agree that the cost for improving infrastructure and stability should increase along with the size of the country - but that's about as far as I can follow it. I can't see the logic in army, navy and trade technology costs should depend on the size of the country in any way.

So I was wondering: is there any way to change this, or is it hardcoded?

Thanks in advance.

re : Hardcoded.

Hello Hive,

The world belongs to the mighty ...

So, techn. dev. "Level Periods" are hardcoded (in a way !!!);
the costs to reach those levels are NOT !

You are able to edit, I repeat, to program, those costs in scenarios starting in 1419 or before.

The code word is "cannon".

If you are interested in a full, rather lengthy explication, ask for it.

Hi Predator

Yeah, I would like to have a lenghty explanation. I would indeed like to get to the buttom of this...:D

Btw, if you are really in to this, please check out my simular thread in the EU2 discussions forum - if you could come up with solutions to some of my other hardcoded frustrations, it would be great...

Thanks.
