Someone here made a point : could it be a detailed map of a small area of the world ? As someone said, China is rich, or the central America ?
Well that makes rome 2 confirmed. Cause the hints were trolling and could have meant vicky 2 but now with this hint its clear cause vicky would have norway on the map bit rome not. If i remember correctly the map only showed slesvig and jylland

This teaser perfectly fits the map, let's hope the map is a lot more ambitious towards the south east and east. I'm perfectly ok with cutting of large swaths of lands in scandinavia and the north because who knows what people did over there in antiquity. India and China are a whole other matter.

yeah it is more a hint for Rome 2, since there isn't Norway as a nation state nor the Finno-Scandinavian Region.
But it neither rules out a Victoria Sucessor, since there is atleast not Norway nation state in the beginning of the game on the map.
At least it rules out a Cold War Game. So it really is down to these two choices, with a higher probabilty on Rome 2.

There are several posts in this thread explaining how it could still be Vicky 3. That said... it ain't. They've said it several times clearly and unambiguously, and they would probably get in hot water if they outright lied.
The brilliance of the hint is that it does not rule out Victoria 3.

Yes, there was. While Norway was in a personal union with Sweden there was a seperate Norwegian constitution, legislative assembly, court system, banking system, a seperate Norwegian military.
If it is ROME 2,I think it will be the first game of PDS that could let palyers control the soliders directly.
It still can be both Victoria III or Rome II, since on both maps there is no Norway.
I don't think it's Vicky 3 either.. but from the hints, it could be. It's just trolling at this point
It's extremely well done, though. There's a lot of hype for this announcement, so whatever it is, I hope it lives up to it.
Norway did get independence in 1905 so that could rule out Victoria III.

Huh, didn't even know there was some interest in a GS modern-era/cold war game. Friend of mine just asked about this kind of game 2 days ago...
I would love to have a game about ancient Greece and colonization of the Mediterranean coast. Maybe that's what Johan tries to hide!
Sounds more like rome, but also in vicky there was no „real“ norway as they had been a puppet of sweden.
