That's disappointing. While I don't think Norway was on the map in EU:Rome 1, it'd have been nice to at least have all of Europe in a new Rome game.
It could mean there is no country called Norway, which there wasn't in the time of Rome, but it seems more likely to refer to the landmass itself.

Under the assumption that there will be no map changes compared to Vicky II. Yet, Rome gets more and more likely.
I assume this mean there is no Norway at any time of the game, not just at the start so that would remove Victoria as a possibility but still mean a possible EU: Rome successor as they may want to keep the World small so to focus on other aspects such as goods production and trade.

Yeah, right, I use too much mods in my V2 to remember what the Vanilla map looks like.
Victoria was removed as a possibility months ago.
This removes a modern or cold war game as possibilities. That means it's set before 769 or is not historical at all.

This teaser is a lot more informing than the others actually. This excludes a Cold War game, and implies there is a standard map, so no RPG, city build etc.
Hmmm curious to see how this goes. Modern day setting is out of the picture, that's for sure and I guess Victoria 2 as well.
That being said while Norway didn't feature in EU:Rome I was actually hoping for an antiquity game with a vastly increased scope then again just limiting the map to mediteranee and surroundings. That's not totally out of the window but if they'd wanted to increase the map towards China I'm not sure if it is logical to skip Norway.
I hope it's not a fantasy game or scify or stuff like that, I'm a big fantasy geek but I really like to take the helm of a real world nation and steer it to greatness.

"Spelling the name" is related to magic ( SPELL ) and probably also to an almost unpronounceable old-norse name (Mljollnir ? sort of.. )
The "goods" in a past teaser is probably related to "good (guys) vs. evil ones"

Was there ever any actual "popular demand" for a fantasy game from PDS? There are tons of those already on the market.
The possibility for a religious/mythology based game was pretty much removed with the religion hint as it can very well be argued that in such game religion would be the most important concept. So the chances for Rome 2 is pretty decent.
A fantasy game may however be possible.
Actually Johan posted: "Is it popular demand?", so the answer could be simply: no.
