- Relates to Stellaris (Maybe one of the distant stars anomalies?)
- May possibly have something to do with the POP demands mod for Vicky...

Is it just a joke or are they really afraid that this kind of teaser might be detrimental for the to-be-announced game?

Thing is, misdirected hype can very easily backfire, when what the players think will come isn't what is announced. I'm interested in seeing what they will cook up, but it's far too soon to start hyping on wide speculation. Hype all you want on the fact that a Paradox game is soon to be announced; but I don't think it's healthy to prematurely hype ourselves on the possibility of Victoria 3 (since It's the most popular speculation right now).

My fingers are however crossed for vic3. Rome 2 risk of becoming another Sengoku.

I agree a bit with it, as a fan it can be tiring. On the other hand, GRRM is not my bitch either, and I guess we are not really entitled to demand anything from them. I guess I'm ok with my favorite devs having a bit of fun at our expense.

That being said I feel PDS has basically done all they can to do some serious expectation management with regards to Vicky 3. The explicitely stated that they wouldn't anounce Vicky 3 so I guess it really can't be their fault if people keep hoping for it right?

Hmm... First teaser is a clear reference to Vicky2, POPs and the POP Demand mod. But they told us Vicky 3 is not the game they will announce. So I guess either Johan's very mean and trolling (quite likely ), we will indeed see a new Bismarck 1, or we will see Rome 2, which was quite popular in demand last time.

Ok on a more serious note (I still do want Horse Economy!), about a new Crusader Kings and what people should keep in mind. They recently gave away the base game for free. Now the players learned the basics, but maybe are afraid to buy those huge amount of DLC. So the next best thing would be to release a new game, the new players are interested in the scenario and the game but arent scared away of buying DLC.
Source: I am a new player who tried the game after i got it for free, i am now comfortable with the basics but i am not completly sure with which DLC i should start (although there is still no need for it, the basegame has much more to offer than i currently understand). Conclave sounds nice because of the options to successors and that you can force your vassals to gavelkind, but also Legacy of Rome sounds nice because of retinues. But i dont even know what every DLC actually offers. But i would gladly pay for a new Crusaders Kings with improved mechanics where i can then buy DLC as they are released and are informed about every DLC one after the other.

Or maybe my point is completly wrong, but then again, lets hope its Horse Economy at last!
