Taxes and population growth rate

I'm just getting back into this game after a long hiatus. I have a vague memory of discovering some relationship between the tax rate and the rate of population growth, but I can't for the life of me remember what that was. Anybody know anything?

Somewhat inversely proportionate. You can monitor your individual pops growth as you alter the tax rate and see the affect it has on it. No, wait, there is a ledger page where you can see the growth rate. Immigration page perhaps?

Can't...remember! Must...try...harder!

AFAIK there is neither a penalty nor a bonus to pop growth with taxes below 50%. when you overtax such as your pops cant afford daily goods pop growth will decline. not sure about the details though.
