Just curious, is there actually tax revenue generated for your character's personal income from direct vassalages? In every game I've started, I've never seen income from any kori I pass control of.

I've read in other threads that there should be, but I've never seen it.

That explains it. I saw it starting a new game with Shimazu. You're right that unless the vassal has enough provinces that their income is high enough while they're developing, it never shows. It'd be nice to see a 0 there just so it's obvious they could be giving you income.

If your vassals pay taxes like I do, then no. Too bad there's not an audit button.

Well if you're aiming for the long run it seems like it's better to give them 3 provinces so they'll upgrade them fast (with 2 one gets full castle while the other gets full village since they send the masters out right away- having a level 1 castle and level 1 village before level 2 and so on is more useful earlier,) and then you can dump two more kokujin titles on them later (or they might even cap them on their own,) where some other jerk upgraded half of the buildings for you anyway.

I think at the fairly early point where maybe you can't wait for cash you could just throw five provinces at your son for a little better cash and then he could top off his vassals when he inherits your land.
