You don't have to play the country and if it's so irrelevant it doesn't matter if it is in the game right? The more countries the better and I want to be able to liberate Jämtland and other places that have an independence movement. Heck, why not have an entire globe of city states ^^ that would be fun. As long as Paradox leave enough tags for people to mod that I'm greatful. I don't expect them to actually make every single possible state that could have existed.

1. Tuva is the bestest country in the entire HoI (Due to its sheer coolness), and furthermore, it existed. Furthermore they participated in WW2.
2. Tannu Tuva was a fully sovereign country. Egypt was a protectorate State, therefore a Semi-Sovereign country (Meaning, they didn't have Jus Belli.) Furthermore, Egypt was de facto administered by British authorities.

What he said. De facto administration by [fill in relevant oppressor/invader/coloniser] should bar countries from being independent.
Like German-occupied Denmark, Reichskommissariat Whatnot, Japanese-occupied China, except where there were actual independent countries. I'm not quite sure how I feel about Mengjiang ('Mengkukuo' in game) and Manchukuo. Were they under de-facto Japanese administration? (India was under de-facto British administration, but let's leave that discussion to the relevant thread.)

Also:
Tannu Tuva should stay in HOI3 so that more people from all around the world learn that such a country existed in the middle of nowhere.
That alone should be a reason, that is, for those of us not too acquainted with the personal quirks of Richard Feynman.

Andorra is enough big to be a province....but can't be a country because it is a wargame and Andorra had no troops.

Tannu Tuva was big and had a big army.

About the china's warlords....they shouldn't be puppet at the beginning because they were at war with nationalist china.

I meant the loyal warlords... but no warlords are really loyal :D

Egypt should definitely qualify to be a puppet, and I hope they find a way to do that properly. They were doing enough in the forties to require some level of control over things and the fifties, with Nasser, definitrly seem to be internal overthrow rather than expulsion of a foreign power. The foreign power wanted to be involved but it wasn't the same thing.

True, but also Sudan (or more properly "Anglo-Egyptian Sudan"). It was a puppet of a puppet. How does one model that?

For that matter, Transjordan also existed (with a figurehead Hashimite King), Palestine (under British administration), and probably some others that I can't think of.

A puppet of a puppet can be done in HOI2. A puppet of a puppet of a puppet of a puppet can all be done in HOI2, Kaisereich mod proves this.

What countries should be made that existed in the game's time period (particularily in 1936) but are not already part of HoI? The only ones I can think of are all so small that they would barely fit on the map, like the Vatican or Monaco.

Liechtenstien and Andorra also.

I like HOI maps to be as realistic as possible. SO I would like to see all the actual countries available in 1936. Of course the game has to be playable, so Monaco might be too small to see on the map or field an army.

Yeah. I also would like to see the little ones. Even when their only job is struggle to survive among 'monsters'. But im affraid that it will be left for mods - Johann already stated this.
