In TFH, traits like tank-buster are eventually gained by any commander of an air unit conducting attacks against land units with non-100% softness, i.e. any amount of hardness. This also goes for commanders of CAS units, which already have an edge against armor, i.e. more HA than SA. Now, what happens when the CAS commander becomes a proficient Tank-buster? Does he become worse at attacking tanks than before he gained the trait? According to my way of looking att it, it's a waste to attach a Tank-buster anywhere except to a Tac unit, but can it even become a negative factor? Your thoughts on this....

A CAS has "good" HA and "average" SA, so putting a Tank Buster leader in command effectively lowers the targets hardness, making it counter-productive. For any other air unit that may conduct ground attacks, with HA less than SA, it makes sense.

I can't believe this still hasn't been fixed.

It shouldn't be THAT hard to change "tankbuster" to "gives planes 20% more HardAttack", would it?

Seashore, versions of this thread have been popping up for ages. Many agree with you ;p

Didn't this change in TFH? I thought tank buster now gives +10% to tactical attack, meaning both TAC and CAS benefit equally from it?

So, according to Mousemaster this is still an unfixed bug. But, according to Ugly Guy and Opanashc it's been fixed by changing the effect of the tank-buster trait. Anybody got some proof, eitherway?

What is a tactical attack then? According to the wiki the air trait Superior Airtactition gives 10% combat modifier for ground attack or interdiction. What is tactical attack then? Logic dictatates it would be tactical use of bombers on airfields, logistic, installations and so on. But why would the trait "tank buster" give a bonus to this?

what does tactical attack mean?

Wow... "Defender_softness"
I always thought this was some urban legend around the forums that some traits would have negative effect on you or change enemy abilities. I can't really think of coming up with anything as stupid as that is: "I'm so amazing leader that the enemy infantry gains harder defense, so my piercing bombs go trough them hurr durr" And while he's at it, your own infantry has hard time while they need AT guns for infantry to pierce them.. Jeez..

I remember checking this out myself after one debate and found out the same, thank god it's fixed in TFH.
