Taking provinces in a war

I'm in a defensive war as a secondary participant, not co-belligerent. I noticed there is no button anymore that you can check so that the leader can give/take away your provinces. I'm pretty sure we're going to lose, is it that in the 1.8 patch, your provinces can be ceded to enemies without your permission? Thanks

yeah but only if they are occupied. but seeing as you are not a co-belligerent, taking your provinces will cost the AI a lot more warscore. so I think you dont need to worry to much about losing land.

I'm playing as byzantium, in a war with Bosnia against Venice and Austria. I'm pretty much screwed, and Venice has a core on Albania. They're coming into my land and sieging it down. I'm not sure what to do, I was allied with Austria and I only answered the call to arms because they hadn't been called in yet by Venice, I'm bigger than Bosnia, I thought I would be made leader or a co-belligerent or whatever

Nvm, I released all Bulgaria and Achaea , but im back 20 years later, I'm attacking Venice , with austria on my side, they broke their alliance somehow. Also Venice is attacking ottomans, who are kind of weak, but strong enough to handle the troops they ship over. Venice full annexed Bosnia, but I vassalized Serbia, and can feed them their cores and me, mine. Also, is it just me, or did the byzantines lose a lot of their cores in this patch?

they did lose a few cores, yes. not sure how many though. did they really needed to be nerfed?

War leaders don't change anymore (except in special circumstances). Byzantium has lost it's cores and the tick box you're looking for has gone, but if you don't play ironman you can get it back. .
