I do not have a smart phone, and I use a keyboard and mouse with my tablet, and it's a windows machine making it irrelevant whether the device is mobile or not: it's a PC with a touch screen. To be fair to the mobile people out there, I shouldn't say anything. My personal belief, though, is that PC is where it is at. Don't waste resources trying to be everything when you can be best at PC games, which is the best platform for games.

Please, don't stretch your teams (fronts :)) too thin.
I prefer if you'd stay focused on PC versions of your games and make sure their support/development gets maximum support.
In other words I would assign more developers for example to work on PC version of HoI4 rather than hire someone to work on mobile port of the same game with simplified interface/gameplay.

I will never do gaming on a phone or tablet. Too small and when I game I like to do it in chunks of time (4-5 hours). That means at home or on a laptop if traveling. Strategy games are simply not suited to mobile devices.

I can only support branching to mobile gaming under one condition. Less DLC bloat. I previously said, that I would be more happy with Paradox either cutting back on resources or using them for something else than DLC spam. This may be it

I believe the perfect ios game would be HOI4: The tech/national focus, all that would work perfectly, the only real problem, would be the actual battling, which I think I have a souliton too. Instead of focusing on micro managing focus more in the battle plans on the whole. You could make the game 2d but just dont make it one of those moving each unit in heaxgons kinda game. But most importantly, make the controls simple and fluent, and the game easy to pick up for a quick fix. Remember, we only use IOS when away from home, so there needs to be features like, when you close the game it auto saves, so you can just pick it back up and continue. Remove no features! Just make the controls simple and not frustrating...

Several companies produced "niche market" games that I purchased and enjoyed. A few of those companies have now created "mass market" games that all-but abandon their core market base, and I have not purchased any of those new products, because they are no longer targeted at MY segment of the market.

Don't go down that same road, or you will lose me as a customer, and almost certainly a lot of other previous supporters as well.
