Hello there! First i want to thank you for the greate game. For me AoW series is just the best mordern TBS .
Still i have some thoughts concerning Tactical Operations balance and Diplomacy.
1. TacOps. Main balancing instrument here is Tactical Points (TP) and there is some issues with several Tactical operations. Like Tactical Nuke (highest Explosive tech): 9 TP worth it is doing 25 termal damage in the epicenter and les on the edges (2 hexes radius) and blinding enemies. Good? Compare it to another highest weapon tech operation - Acid Rain: 5 bio damage and -1 armor each turn for 5 turns for EACH enemy! That is 9 TP worth TacOp! And Nuke is just bad joke. Same works for PyrX bomb: 30 termal damage with one turn delay is totally not worth 9 TP. My suggestions: for Nuke either increase damage twice and radius by 1 hex or reduce its cost to 5 TP at max; for PyrX bomb... well, it is so bad that i can suggest only to reduce its cost to 4 or totally rework its mechanics.

2. Diplomacy. Please give us ability to ask other AIs to stop war against another player/AI. It is strange that we can call them to war with others but can't ask them to "make love not war". That would be good for players who try to reach peaceful victory.

PS For other players: these thread is opened for suggestions concerning TacOps balancing and Diplomacy, i would be glad to see thoughts of others and maybe devs would see our collective efforts too.

Iirc the nuke blinds all enemy units. Not saying it isnt underpowered, but it isnt too far away from being worth it.

Acid rain I thought was -1 armor for the rest of battle and 5 damage per turn for 5 turns. You missed when it use to last until end of battle if I'm not mistaken. :p

Pyrx bomb: ya it sucks lol.

Edit: Forgot to offer a suggestion for improving the nuke! What if it was a str 8 chance to cause hallucinating with blind in failure? Also just checked and it's only a str 8 blind check as is. Sad day.:(

No it's exactly -1 armor and 5 dmg each turn. So it is -5 and 25 totally. Very strong Op for large battles. And nuke just doing nothing comparing to it. 25 in the middle? Really? Prometheans got TacOp Firestorm Projectile wich does same 25 in the middle. Yes, it has lesser AoE and impact but it also leaves burning ground and costs only 2 TP, more than 4 times cheaper!

Also if you have suggestions about any TacOps other than PyrX Bomb and Nuke - share them here. I just posted first two ops that are too weak for there cost and i am going to write more after some thinking.
