Systematic CTD in upgraded games due to Holy Orders

I've been trying to continue my Karen game started in TOG in 2.0 (patch only, not SOA). I first noticed that it crashed after a few months every time, with as last line in game.log something like "Teutonic Knights activated", so I found and deactivated the relevant event. That let me progress a year or two, at which point I DOWed the Duke of Valois. Two seconds later, new CTD, with as last line in game.log:

"[messagehandler.cpp:595]: §YGrand-Maître Guy de Ordre du Temple§! a rejoint §YDuc Herbert II de Valois§! dans la §Y Guerre Sainte perse pour : Auvergne§!"

(The grand-Master of the Templars joining the Duke in my holy war)

It might be a coincidence, but it looks like the new CTD was also caused by the involvement of a religious order.

Any idea? I would really like to continue this game.

BTW, this is with the GG version in Windows 8, if it matters.

Why not try reverting to 1.111 to finish this game? You'll need to do a full clean re-install, and just patch to that version.

That's what I did yesterday. Pity, the levy re-balancing seems like a good way to spice up a game I've already won (and am only continuing to export it to EU4).
