a survey report would be nice.
You click on the icon instead just taking to the system you get a little report such as:

President Chase Young
The Science Vessel Blue Eyes has finished surveying the Gamma System.

On their survey they discovered three planets, only two have the potential for colonies with our current technology, orbiting a red dwarf.

Gamma I is an arid planet. It is size 20 and has a 80% habitability rating. No intelligent lifeforms found. Has hostile fauna and volcanic activity.
Gamma II is a tropical planet. It is size 7 and has a 65% habitability rating. Intelligent lifeforms found. Has glaciers and swamps.
Gamma III is a tomb planet.

Several mineral deposits were founded. The star of this system has an unusual property that may interest our physicist.

And I would like to talk about abductions. I think first contact with a primate species should be a event chain. When you find a primate culture there racial name should be blank any attempts infiltrate to should be stopped because you don't know enough about them. A situation event should pop up. It should ask you if you want to abduct one of them. Once you do that another event should fire asking you how you to go about studying them. Humane or Unrestricted. Humane takes longer to complete but you learn more about them. Unrestricted is fast but you only get little chunks of what you need to successfully their culture. Once you get them you can infiltrate. Or you can infiltrate immediately just it is extremely slows as your operatives need to learn about their alien culture and you have a great chance of someone going "native" on you as they are amazed by the culture.
