Most noticeable is the removal of Windows Vista. The game might still run with it, but we can't guarantee it. We can only apologize for this rather late change.

From what the post said about the change being in response to 'compatibility tests' it will probably still run it, it just might be sluggish.

Oh, d*mnit. I was in the clear until it was updated. I don't have a 3.0 Ghz processor. Could my 2.5 Ghz processor still run this game?
official system requirements are always a bit missleading. They dont mean you have to have atleast this much to run, but rather that this is the minimum on which the developers can guarantee a smooth experience. They might aswell didnt go any lower with their tests. Most games that "require" a quad core would even run on a dual core cpu, just not very well of course. A few games refuse to even start on a dual core however. Having a CPU that is slightly slower shouldnt be a problem. The game will probably just run a bit slower (gamespeed) for you, like in HoI III for example aswell.

This statement is too general tbh. It's true that requirements are often misleading, but they can be misleading in both directions and it varies dev to dev. There is no universal standard for what "minimum specs" and "recommended specs" will give you unfortunately.

What is about Intel HD 3000/4000 Graphics, which arme standard in many Notebooks?

Good luck. I bought my Surface Book instead of an SP4 because I thought the 940m dGPU would give me a good experience in hoi4. Then they changed the specs from "8800gt" (same as EU4) to 460! The 460 is like 2-3x more powerful than the 940m. If the 460 is genuinely what is reuqired for a smooth experience then the 3000/4000 will be 100% unplayable, as the 460 is 5-6x more powerful than those.

do you have not very good PC?
uuugh... dunno how is your financial situation, but you can get gtx 560 (much better then minimal sugested, with this card you can play it at med-max details) for 37 american bucks! thats like.... really cheap...

PS: i live in Czech Rep, it is like 900czk, not very expensive)
PSS: the cost of upgrade is lower then the game itself will cost!!!!
PSSS: if have at least Core II or better, you will be able to play it just fine.... Even if your CPU is slow, it will not cause it to lag as much as GPU would

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NVIDIA-GeFo...939621?hash=item1c6560fe25:g:nugAAOSw6oBXFC7O
so i dont really get why dont you upgrade...

do you have a notebook and dont know if it will be enough?

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile-Graphics-Cards-Benchmark-List.844.0.html

tadááááááá!
here you go, you can compare you ntb. GPU and CPU with others and get pretty good picture how it performs compared to specs above.

PS: my personal step by step guide is
1) Find 3Dmark score similar pc as is described in minimal req.
2) Find your laptops 3Dmark score on www.notebookcheck.net
3) Be cool
