system requirements

I received this laptop for Christmas, and see that CKII's recommended GHz amount is higher than the computer's 'normal' speed but lower than its turbo boost speed. Computer-savvy people, will I easily be able to play this game on this computer, or should I avoid doing so?

It should be able to run it. My old computer had around the same specs and it was able to run it smoothly. It might have a little bit of lag, but that's unlikely as well.

That laptop seems far better than the desktop computer I use for CK2. The only thing I would worry about would be the onboard graphics, but I'm not really well-versed in that since I don't have a laptop.

I have a machine from about 2006 - single core, AMD Athlon64 3800+ 2.41 GHz, 2 GB DDR, with nVidia GeForce 7600 GT.

The only weirdness I see is that the terrain mapmode doesn't look right (it's hard to describe). I have also had occasional crashes, but that's happened much less frequently lately than it did when I first got the game.

cpu is fine but that thing has onboard graphics (even at that price, wtf?) so that might cause problems.

Meh, as long as it has a reasonable amount of it, onboard graphics isn't that bad. Also i bet that half of the price is because it has a touchscreen.

Thanks, I am sufficiently reassured that I am now willing to go to the next level, which is to spend money to more empirically test it. Didn't want to lay out the cash if someone said it was obviously not a good idea.
