System requirements

I was just wondering what systems you guys run EU on. Hardware, OS and so on.

I have a PII 400 MHz, 128 MB SDRAM and a Voodoo 3 2000 PCI, running Win 98.

Will it run like charm or cough and spit a bit?

I'm running it on W2k with 196MB RAM, and a K7 500Mhz AMD, it works fine, except I've had some slowdowns at the end of GC, when half the world was at war, possibly because lots of stuff was happening at the same time ? But except for those occasions your machine should be fine.... And w98 is faster than W2k anyway

I have the crappiest pc on the forum (P2 300, 64mb ram)

.. and it runs quite well on that. I beta tested the game on that system, so I'm pretty sure your system will handle it w/o too many problems.

I have a PIII 866, 256Mb RAM, Geforce II, 30G hard drive, WIN98. And I didn´t even get the game running at first...hehe

Of course, that was solved with the patch... Fortunately, since I was about to throw the computer out the balcony... (along with myself, not being able to play this game...)

Well, if you want to hear about crappy computers I can mention what I have. 200mhz and 48mb ram. Now we can talk crappy computers EU still works fine on it though, even for multiplayer sessions.

Ok, most will call me nuts, some will call me a liar, but fact is: the game runs decently on my P166MMX, 40 MB RAM, 4 MB gfx. In about 20 hours of play I had but two crashes (back to desktop). The only (minor) slowdowns so far occured when about 7-10 battles raged in my part of the map.

However, any patches beyond 1.01 won't work on my system.

My system matches Freodin's and I'm thrilled to hear that it runs well. I'm wondering if there's something system-related to Sytass' problem about the patches not working for him.

I'm not quite sure, but my post on it sits patiently on the support board. However, I must say that V1.01 runs pretty stable for me (so far).

I'm extremely happy to hear that my old 266 PII, 64 megs, should be able to handle EU. I'm another American who is looking forward to getting this game like a kid the night before Christmas. The end of Febuary can't come soon enough. To have to wait until I purchase a new computer, (probably late April/early May), would have been agony.
