How demanding is this going to be? It looks like its going to have even higher requirements than EU3. I really hope it doesnt need a top of the line computer.

I was told that it'll have the same requirements as EUIII and Rome. I'll be upgrading my computer (for the first time in prolly four or five years), so I'll be aiming higher than the bar.
And on that note, if anyone has a recommendation for a good video card that isn't top of the line but isn't far behind, $100 or less, I'm all ears. I still have an NVidia GeForce MX/MX 400.

If your machine is so old you need a new motherboard and CPU. Take a look at the amd 780g motherboard.
It has an build in graphic card. With hybrid Xfire you will have the best from two world. silence when surfing and power when playing. The build in card is probably good enough to run EU3 and Rome.
The only downside is that you must buy amd cpu. They are not so powerful as Intel CPU, but htey give good value.
You will probably need a new psu and ram as well.
Total price: about 400$
I will buy something similar without the graphic card and psu, and I think it will run EU3 without problem. If you're on a tight budget, just buy motherboard, CPU and ram and see if you can run EU3.

As far, as I know since EU3, GPU is responsible for most of graphic work and CPU for other calculations, like those AI needs. So everything matters, not only CPU, but GPU, as well as RAM.
So, yes, I'm also concerned about my processor (Athlon 3800+)... I hope, that it's true what Johan said about HOI3 being tested not only on dual core processors, but also on single core CPUs.
The 8600 NVidia cards are crap. It's basically 7600 with Dx10 support. Since many games don't support it anyway, it's just not worth it. Just get a 7600GT, 7900 or an 8800GT. I, myself have a 7900GTX and 5.4GHz Dual-Core processor, so I know mine will be enough.
