For background, I've had CS since March and have figured out most of the problems which have caused crashes for me in the past.
Recently though, I have have been unable to load a new or exisiting city, as it game crashes and the system reboots at the mad loading screen.
After playing around with various launch options (including uninstalling my antivirus), the problem seems to be associated with my workshop content subscriptions, as disabling workshop content through the launcher allows the game to load properly (mods are ok to launch with, it's only the workshop content). But looking at the crash logs, I don't see any errors and it never crashes on the same item. The document just ends where it the game was loading assests before the crash without generating an error message.
Is it possible that I'm running out memory? Even though I have a lot of workshop items I really doubt this, because I have 16 GB of memory. Even so, I tried removing the content with the largest amount of assets and that didn't help. Plus, I was playing a city of 60+ plus until recently and haven't added many custom assets since then. On the other hand, I don't want to completely wipe out and rebuild my subscriptions if I just have to remove some.
