Ok so I just completed the move to my race becoming Synthetics and have massive unrest in my empire. For some reason, none of my new race can be leaders so now all those jobs are unemployed and there's no toggle anywhere I can find to allow them to be leaders. Also, I just lost all my biological traits and the robots now have 0 traits. What exactly is the benefit to spend two ascension points on this again? Anybody else had this problem?

It's one of the many bugs of 2.2 synth ascension

Okay, so the bug is that taking synthetic ascension doesn't automatically set your AI to citizen rights, but it does remove the AI policy from the policy screen. This means your synth pops are stuck on servitude with no way to change it.

If you have access to a save from before you went synth ascension, you can fix it by setting AI to citizen rights manually prior to finishing the project.
