In my new game I decided to go down the Synthetic Evolution ascension path. upon turning all of my pops into synths the ruling class on all of my planets have become unemployed despite the numerous available and necessary jobs —crippling my empire's economy and planets. I don't know what I did wrong or if something went wrong game wise but from my conjecture I would have to wait for new pops to be created to fill in these critical roles on my planet whilst crime and unemployment build up to a point of disaster.

I don't know if this is intended or a bug, but what seems to happen, when you go for synthetic evolution, is that your old ruler jobs are scrapped and new ones are created instead. But instead of the old rulers occupying these new ruler jobs, it can happen that some people from lower strata take on the ruler jobs instead. The old rulers are then unemployed because there are not enough ruler jobs and it can take a long time (months to years?) until the unemployed rulers demote to fill in specialist jobs. So you basically just have to wait for their demotion to uncripple your economy. This also happened to me when switching to technocracy to a much lesser degree

It is a known issue.

The problem originates in the law setting for artificial intelligence. To avoid the problem you need to set the law from servitude to citizen rights right before the Ascension project is finished. The game will remove the law after ascension and leave it in the state it was before ascension instead of setting it to citizen rights. Servitude does not allow synths to take ruler jobs.

You cant do that if in galaxy there is fallen spiritualist empire. Because its keep sending you outlaw AI demand what triggers CD (they are stucked in it and sent several timesper year, and sice youre materialist you cant outlaw AI). Soo you are stucked at servitude ...

As I said, do it right before ascension. Like a day before, then there is no time for the FE to send requests.

Besides, they will demand humiliation after ascension anyways.
