So in Utopia you can make your whole empire into synths, does anyone else think it would be cool to have the option to join the ai rebellion if the crisis fires (similar to the way you can 'join' an awakened FE in war of heaven). Personally I would love to role play the borg and assist the ai rebellion to 'liberate' all biological life. Also you could use the refugee system to have robot/droid/syth pops that are still enslaved to flee to your empire. Thoughts?

I think that could be pretty interesting. On the flipside a Spiritualist Empire fighting alongside the Unbidden against other Empires and other extra-dimensional invaders would be pretty cool to see too!

Consider that the Unbidden are at each other's throats- I doubt they'd ally themselves with anyone.

Likewise, there's been some discussion as to how likely allying with the Machine Consciousness may or may not be; on the one hand, it might be viable, but on the other you aren't actually AI, you're former masters/"wannabes", and the Machine Consciousness is characterized by extreme hostility to all possible outside threats. If they can't reprogram you, you're not with them.

Crisis mechanics must be complettely rewriten to allow any alliance. Also, when you got "mindloaded", are you a "synth" or "posthuman"? Would you be as much vulnerable to MC logic plague like the rest of machines or rather a little more resistant? If you ally with MC - will be possible to negotiate with the organics or is this a one-way ticket?
