So I chose Syncretic Evolution today, and upon trying to settle a new planet, I realized a problem. I'd have to get both species onto the new planet, and I'd have to make sure the lesser one doesn't outdo or underdo my main species, depending on what the tiles are.

But I can't control population how I want, it's either make them stop producing pops or not. Or do a lot of micromanaging to make sure the chattle slaves get on mines and resettle them to other planets... this sounds like it'd just be easier to allow me to purge/'undesirable' select pops, at least slaves or be able to manage what tiles they're allowed to grow on, rather than have to deal with this.

Oh and also why is my Sync Evolution species a completely different species, ruins muh immurshun.

Syncretic Evolution is supposed to be a different species. Its the literal meaning of the words. An example from real life would be if dogs developed intelligence similar to our own.

As for your gameplay problems. You mentioned slaves so you should be able to resettle. Resettling is a massively powerful tool. Use it.

Syncretic Evolution does have issues with colony optimization that never really go away. Part of the same balancing with migration focused egalitarian strategies. You get additional "free" growth that a monolithic empire will never have. Better options for production optimization too. But you have pay more influence via resettling to reach that greater degree of optimal usage.

Multi-racial caste systems are an insane amount of micromanagement atm. The old purge system made things way easier. Also resettlement is way too expensive (they could at least change it to cost energy instead of influence).

At least egalitarian can use resettlement now; individualists couldn't use it in 1.4. Not sure what you mean about free growth; the two different species on the planet split the available growth.

The different species immersion thing was a meme. I thought that would have been obvious the way I typed it. Also actually my mistake because I thought last night it said that your race evolved from them, so my bad.

Also yes I know you have to resettle but people seem to have missed it; I'm talking about more what Baldamundo is saying. It's micromanagey and I have to time the resettling so that just enough of the slave race grows to only get on the right tiles otherwise I'll have to waste influence and move them to a new planet or if I don't have room on another planet, just live with them being in a shit position. It just seems really sloppy. Also yes the two species split the growth so it's not double.

I ment economic growth in the specific case from have multiple specialized species compared to a mono-species empire. Growth of any kind all feeds back into expansion potential in the general case.
