I have a question regarding the expansion tradition and syncretic evolution.

In the expansion tradition you can get a perk where every colony ship will carry 2 pops when colonizing. My question is if you are able to choose what two pops will go with the colony ship when building the ship. My guess is that it will just multiply by two directly from the choice of pops but I think it would be good if you could choose for example your primary pop + syncretic pop so that you can establish both races on your worlds and the relation between both.

Otherwise the syncretic pops will either be tied to your home planet + core systems or you have to spend influence to micro with the sectors.

So my question is if this is already in the game and if not if it maybe should be added later?

You can resettle the moment the colony is established. That way they would grow in paralell.

If you are not the Slaving/Resettling type, there is still migration. One change is that only one pop can imigrate to a planet. And the Synchretics pops would have a higher atraction, having the same climate preference but fewer pops there.

I know, but the problem is the micro when it comes to sectors.

Let's say I have my homeplanet + 2 core planets and I have resettled so my syncretic pops are together with my main pops.
When I colonize my 4th system I have to make it into a sector and I cant resettle until after the colony has upgraded after 5 pops. That means that I have to spend influence on the sector to remove a planet, resettle and then make it a sector again.

It would just be simpler if I could add the syncretic pop into the colony ship together with the main pop when I have finished the expansion tradition tree and gotten 2 pops per colony ship.

I thought the same thing when I heard about this.

If I were setting this up I'd make it so any colony setup with with a syncretic pop gets the 2nd one as well.

Otherwise you might end up with an empire made up of every planet type using the basic race, and then just mineral planets with the pleb race. Doesn't really cover what the spirit is imo.

Incorrect. As of 1.4 latest you can resettle pops even during the Ship Shelter Phase/under 5 pops.

There will always be a bit imprecision in the pop distribution. But that is the sectors job to deal with. FYI, you would put the already finished worlds into sectors. Rather then the other way around.
