[SWMH 2.85] Elective Succession, grandson not eligible.

As title says, my 15 years old quick grandson is not eligible for succession. Is that because he's too young, or what? As far as I know, Vanilla makes grandsons eligible. So, is the mod causing this?
Because I want this last son of my first son to inherit Lombardy, and then press my son's claim on Castille, wich has primogeniture, so Castille and Lombardy won't be under a common rule, but under 2 rulers of the same dinasty.

If i remember correctly it is a vanilla thing. You need to give him at least a ducal title before he is eligible for election. Only your own kids are immediately eligible without a ducal title.

As in vanilla he'll only be eligible when his father is dead. Or if he (as theKing said) he is a duke.

I always reserve at least a ducal title when i go elective in order to pick the best candidate as my heir

Thank you for your replies! Reserving a Duchy is not an issue, the Duchies that I don't hold don't exist!
The problem is that my kings, even when they're 70-75, managed to have good quality sons, so the successor is never 100% definitive.
Anyway, since i don't want to kill his father (the claim on Castille will not be inherited), I'll grant him a Duchy.
