Switzerland 1897-1902: Eastern Rumblings
The Swiss Patriciate was happy with it's gains in Sweden, but it still feared that the hardy Swedes would build up their forces and launch some kind of counterattack. Also, there were still millions of Swedes suffering from their oppressive regime.
Sweden had military alliances with both Russia and Denmark. The peace loving Patriciate hoped that these two nations would dishonour their military alliances. The benevolent Patriciate had no desire to kill the troops of Russia and Denmark needlessly.
Alas, when war was again declared, both Russia and Denmark joined in. The wise Patriciate had of course prepared for such an event, and had hundreds of thousands of Swiss troops stationed outside of Sankt Petersburg and in the Black Sea.
Thus, over the course of a few months. Sweden, Denmark, and Russia were all forced to the peace table seperately, so as to maximize liberation:
Yet more Swiss troops poured into the newly acquired territories and war was again declared on Sweden. Denmark and Russia again foolishly chose to join in. Within a few weeks, both Denmark and Sweden were annexed. Then vast tracts of Russian land were occupied and the foolish Russians were again forced to the peace table:
The Patricians, while still eager for peace, were absolutely shocked at the condition of the newly liberated Russian surfs. They had no idea such abject slavery still existed in the world. The cruel Russian government treated their people worse than cattle.
With a heavy heart, the Patriciate again declared war on Russia.
The war went well and much of Russia was conquered. Then, just as the Swiss troops were nearing total victory, the backstabbing Prussians attacked Switzerland from behind.
The Patriciate was dismayed by this betrayal. They had long considered the Prussians some of their closest allies. Had not Swiss troops fought and died to save Prussia from both Austria and France?
The Swiss troops fell upon Prussia in a righteous fury. The Prussian army was destroyed utterly and the entire country was occupied.
Soon both Prussia and Russia came begging for peace:
[In the above photo, notice Russia's military score ^^]
The Swiss troops got a brief vacation, but the Patriciate soon decided to press the attack.
Quite a few more wars were fought in rapid succession. In the span of two years, nearly all of Russia and Prussia fell to the mighty Swiss military:
Despire this mighty victory, the wise Patriciate was eager to finish the job. However, Austrian territory surrounded one Prussian province. Despite repeated requests, the Austrians simply refused to give the benevolent Swiss military access so that they could finally annex the despicable Prussians.
The Patriciate seethed.
All the while veteran troops, free from the now non-existant Russian front, started to march westward, back towards Europe...
