So Daniel in WWW had to take over Romania for the oil, basically because he really needed the oil and Romania would not join the Axis. Historically Romania obviously went Axis and was the main supplier of Axis oil. So lets say Daniel or myself when I play Germany get Romania to become an Axis ally. Will I get some of that sweet oil without having to trade for it? or will I still have to trade for it giving up precious factories? If I still have to trade for it why wouldn't I just do what Daniel did and take it over forcefully.

You will have to trade for it, I believe. If you recall, Iran joined the Axis in WWW but they had restricted trade policies so Germany couldn't get hardly any of the oil from Baku and Iran. Even if the country is a puppet you still have to give up civilian factories I believe.

Free countries fighting alongside you will probably be more effective in terms of force generated per province than occupation, given all of the nasty little partisans and stuff. Depends on how cooperative the AI is in the release version.

I imagine having the resources will be critical enough, and the AI allied forces too "uncooperative" to waste the time dealing with allied minors. I'd just crush them and garrison straight out for resources. The same situation comes up often enough in HOI3 MP and regardless how many troops a minor brings, generally it's better for GER to annex then entire Balkans and use less IC for better purposes than rely on HUN/ROM troops without player control on it.

If I remember right, they said during the last(?) WWW that the issue of Iran not giving Germany more oil 'will be fixed' so I assume there will be trade considerations for faction members.

Also they like to produce useless(lowet tech) oil consuming units and cripple your supply, oil production, and even victory score (losses). Sometimes I want to conquer all my puppets to manage their resources too.

Can we trade munitions for oil? I can't remember if that is still an option.

You mean like trading away military factories instead of just civilian ones? Personally I would find that very interesting, since it gives you the ability to export arms in return for ressources. However, I doubt that will be in the initial release maybe the add it throug a dlc
