I disagree. From what I've seen with countless French governments (since the Revolution) that have oppressed the Occitan people, I think the people would chafe seeing French rule being re-imposed again, and would welcome the idea of independence(or union with the Catalans, as I have continually suggested).

And why should Canada care about the Occitans or whatever they are. There are barely any of them to warrant giving then a huge country that is majority French in makeup anyway. Not to mention that Canada has been sheltering the old leaders of National France and their descendents for decades now, and I hardly think they would agree to see their country get carved apart just for some little minority that may not even exist anymore after decades of Syndicalist rule.

Forget the Occitans, Canada and the UNA's interests lie in making stable countries that are able to operate without problems in the New Post-Syndicalist World Order that is being created here. Canada would find a better friend in a stable, unified, and whole pro-UNA France ruled by the descendants of National France's old leadership.

Already said in the beginning of the AAR, French and British exiled elites are living together in Canada. Now that the home countries are (soon) liberated, why should they split and return to their own nationstates - considering that integration was the way after WW2 irl, too - if they can form a united French-British state, like Eastern Canada, European Canada as well? It would be KR's European Union of a small form, because i doubt anyone else but mabye the Benelux states, maybe Iberians should be invitied.

@SovietAmerika: I don't think Canadians would like to destroy their homeland, but i say the scenario should run a tragic way where it's neccessary. Only way carpet bomb almost the entire island should be a scary way for Britain, something similar they experience on sci-fis like 28 days later, Children of Men, V.

I think uniting Canada, Britain and France (+possible Iberia) would be a bad idea. The resulting states territories and populace would be mostly ex-syndicalist, have four major and bunch of minor ethnicities, and would propably collapse sooner rather than later.

Therefore here is my proposals for referendums:

Slesvig, just like after the ww1 irl the people of Slesvig shall be allowed to wote if it should belong to Denmark or germany, Kolding shall belong either to Germany or to Denmark, the germans can't protest for shit, they're our bitches.

Austria (including south tirol/Bolzano) voting for independence or unification with Germany.

Same with other territories that have recently shiften, Elsass-Lothringen between germany and france, Romandy, france or switzerland. Corsica, france or italy. Sicily , independence or unification with Italy.

And what will happen to Scandinavia? I suggest to keep the union, and maybe later make a referendum in Denmark about joinin as well, together is strong.

I am well aware of the Irony, but I stand by my analysis as a student of Contemporary Military History - I've read into insurgencies and I am full well aware that despite losing their army at Sedan in 1870, the French people fought the German invader tooth and nail through the following 12 months before their final capitulation. The actions of Maquisards during WW2 and so on. This country has an extremely strong sense of nationalism, and it's people are willing to die for their creed. I'm not saying you'll see syndicalist resistance, but I'd hand any puppet government some severe penalties (perhaps cores only on Urban centres, with the countryside simply being a no-go of 'occupied' territory and the associated revoltrisk.)
