Swedish trade?

Hello there. I just started a new campaign as Sweden in 1444 and noticed that now from the start Sweden have one merchant in Novgorod and one in Krakow, instead of having one in the Baltic sea and one in Novgorod. Is it a bad idea to have a merchant in the Baltic because of all the provinces I own in that tradezone ore should I move one to the Baltic to get more money. I have all the DLC:s.

Generally, the income boost provided by a merchant collecting in your home node is not more than the additional income generated by steering more trade.

That is a general answer, however, so you'll have to experiment for yourself to find the best option.

Place a merchant in baltic sea and check if your income goes up or down - theres your answer!
