Inexperienced player - just started 1066 campaign with Sweden.

Any ideas on what to do first?

So far I have enabled "Revoke Title" (though I had to buy/ask for 3 favours to get my Vassals to vote it in) so that I can revoke the country of Uppland (owned by my heathen half brother). My reason for doing so is because his title will pass onto the King of Denmark on succession since he has no heir (he is himself a legitmized bastard, so I don't know if his son would inherit his title anyway?). Unfortunately I didn't notice I had a non-aggression pact with him due to My own marriage with his sister. Unfortunate but now I have to kill her to void that non-aggression pact (at the moment I only have 108% plot power with not enough people to bribe to push it over to 150% so I hope that will be enough). Once that 's done I will have a revoke war with the Count of Uppland.

Once I've secured that line of sucession I plan to move onto the north Sweden Jemtland and Angermanland, both Pagan, I can already DoW if I want. That said there may be more money in Uusima Finland, it has the highest base tax revenue around for a pagan country at 15.5 ducats.

I also plan to marry of my son and heir to the Duchess of Meissen, however if I do this my heirs son will inherit a Duchy and unless he is a Duke himself he may leave me realm? I've really messed up marriage ties in my first game so would appreciate any help here. If my heirs son becomes the next heir to the kingdom himself will he inhert both the Duchy and Kingdom? Incorporating both into the Kingdom of Sweden?

When he marries Duchess Oda, he will leave for her court. You will inherit the duchy if Inge and Oda's son inherits the Kingdom of Sweden.

For other general Swedish goals, you should decide whether you want to form the Empire of Scandinavia or stick with a Kingdom. Either way, Danmark needs to be curtailed quickly. They usually expand into the Baltic and have a healthy amount of troops, due to how rich their provinces are. At the very least, acquire Skane and de jure drift it into Sweden. Norway is less of a threat, taking Akhersus should cripple their ability to mount a sufficient threat. Taking and converting Finland may or may not be worth it. Most of it is poor, spikes to severe winter constantly, and has pagan attrition. Taking it is an expensive affair.

Ah, also take care of your MR. It won't pull in the same wealth as those in the Mediterranean or along the French coast but should net you a pretty penny.

Aha, I see, how about if Inge's son does not become king but I land him a duchy title?

Not sure about how to take on Denmark. As it turns out after I killed my wife the King of Denmark no longer had succession on the duchy on Uppland and it will pass to my other son (not Inge). Not sure how this happened! Only issue now is my half brother has a large army, similar size to mine, so I've made him spymaster and sent him to consantinople to research tech, hopefully that will keep him out of the way...
