I vassallized another empire as a Hive Empire, and as i thought you get all the planets but their Pops get automatically wiped. Is that really intended? On Top of that you take over their Ships too and in my case my Current Fleet size jumped way over my Maximum Fleet size. I feel that integrating Vasalls is pretty Pointless as Hive Mind Empire. Well, i get 5 Food per Pop thats wiped but thats a rather poor thing.

I thought myself: Wow, i wished there was rather something like genetically assimilation or pops veeery slowly being transformed into my race, hmpf.

This is entirely intended. You have close to ten years to migrate one of your pops onto each of your former vassal's worlds.

Also, if you have completed the biological ascension path, you can mod in Hive Mind to your new pops, allowing you to keep them.

Hive minds will purge any xeno pops on worlds you directly control, yeah. Vassalisation is supposed to be the less overtly omnicidal route, so integration is a bit pointless in that respect. The exception of course being if you're going down genetic ascension and want to integrate your vassal and then engineer their pops into the hive.

In general terms though, integrating will give you all of your vassals assets - planets, ships, pops, etc.

oookay, i take back what i said. I did what General Retreat told me, modified the enemy Species. Its just lol, to modify a species in some months into the swarm and their entire Resistance is gone. I thought the Psionic ascension was cool, but that. I think if i'm ever playing a agressive War Empire, i will play With the Hive mind Trait.
