Chapter 1
Factions in the Russian Civil War
The Russian revolution has charted the road to socialism for the whole world and has shown the bourgeoisie that their triumph is coming to an end. Our revolution is taking place amidst the frightful hardships of world slaughter.
Revolutions are not made to order; but there are sure signs that the whole world is ready for great events.
We are surrounded by enemies who have concluded a holy alliance for the overthrow of the Soviet government, but they will not get power themselves.
The rejoicing of the whiteguard bands is premature, their success will be short-lived; unrest is already spreading among them.
The Red Army reinforced by the revolutionary proletariat will help us raise on high the banner of the world social revolution.
Victory or death!
We shall vanquish the world kulak and uphold the socialist cause!
- Comrade Lenin, 1918

Red Russian troops marching in Petrograd, January 6th 1920.
The White Guard's holdings in the Finnish Regions, north of Petrograd.
The White Guard's holdings in the Caucasus Regions, south of Moscow.
The White Guard's holdings in Siberia, east of Kazan.
The White Guard are a bunch of counter revolutionaries, reactionaries and Imperialists who aim to spread their message of oppression and Czarism to all Russia. Unfortunately, for all their ideological imperfections they're led by potent and skilled generals, such as Denikin and Wrangel, and they have the support of foreign capitalists such as the British, French and Americans. However their armies are spread thin, and they lack the industrial abilities and manpower that we have to last long without major successes. They're also susceptible to infighting, with greedy capitalists and hawkish Czarists fighting each other for control. This means that each area they hold has to act more or less independently from one another which makes it easier for our vast armies and skilled commanders to take advantage of.
Basmatchi
The Basmatchi's holdings in Turkestan, south of Sverdlosk.
The Basmatchi are nothing but fanatical Muslims who have delusions of grandeur and dreams of making a new Turkish caliphate under the ostentatious rule of Emir Sayeed Alim Khan. They're the very epitome of corruption and hold heavy anti-Bolshevik views for trying to limit their ridiculous beliefs. Luckily, their armies are made up of cavalry and light infantry, preferring to use guerrilla tactics rather then outright fights. Our forces are numerous enough to be able to stomp over these pathetic horsemen and end their petty revolt. The aristocracy will be overthrown, not only for the Russian people but also for the Turks of the steppe! Worry not, the commander who lost Turkestan was shot for incompetence and treason against the RSFSR after attempting to escape like a coward.
Estonian-Latvian Pact
Estonia and it's corrupt kleptocracy which even now oppresses their people ruthlessly.
Latvia, the more fearsome enemy of the two though it pails in comparison to our forces, and that of our other enemies.
While both aren't technically allies, they share good relations with each other and have similar purposes. Their aim is to exploit the turmoil and take advantage of our conflict in furthering their capitalist agenda. They're both not really threatening in the long run, but we have limited forces bordering their countries meaning that if they are fast they can take advantage of the problem and occupy Polotsk or Opochka, the bastards. Their armies are small, but they may fight as hard as possible to defend their 'independence' and slow down the arrival of true freedom to their populace.
The Polish and Ukrainians
The holdings of the corrupt and backstabbing Polish.
The 'allies' of the Poles, who are nothing but nationalist puppets.
The opportunistic Poles and their craven Ukrainian puppets are a major threat to our western border. Both are using the war to further their imperialist interests and snatch away the freedom of the Russian people. Their armies are large, and they pose a real threat to our forces, requiring our full attention. However we have many divisions spaced along the border, with more coming from Petrograd and Moscow. While the fighting distracts us from true unification, Comrade Lenin holds this as a possible shortcut to returning Poland back into the fold if our military ventures go successfully. Marx knows, the people there need liberation from their dictatorial government. The Ukrainians aren't even worth our time, they cling on to others so that their dream of independence exists as an illusion. They're doomed to the ash heap of history all right!
Comment on what you think of the AAR! There will also be no internet troubles anymore, which is a damn good thing in my opinion!
