Its a nice quality army and a strong economy. And above all a mostly peaceful corner of the world if you want it to be, muscowy will be busy with the hordes & poland, and norway is building an empire. ok so denmark might cause problems..

Anyways, ideas.
It takes a rough 20 years to grab every idea in a group tossing all your points into it.
This means if sweden wants to, she could just go ahead and take all 5 military ideas and spend a century doing it. Quality, quantity, offensive, defensive and aristocracy.

But first Innovative! (administrative), its an idea with two special bonuses: +1 free leader and 5% cheaper tech.

Now with aristocracy, swedish national and offensive each granting +1 shock, sweden will end up with a rather shocking +3! (along with +1 of fire, maneuver and siege). And the first such leader comes free.
Add in the boosted disciplines and combat effectiveness.

Based upon the way the game mechanics actually work, or at least what has been spoiled to us, it seems like it would be a bad idea to get every single idea in any of the monarch point fields, but if you *really* want to go crazy, vanilla single player is likely to be the place to try it out.

Military success doesn't always mean one side was technologically superior. If we use this faulty logic, Austria-Hungary was lagging in technology behind Russian Empire (see WWI).

I think the first four national ideas Sweden should pick are

1. Administrative ideas - purchase the first four ideas (Organized Mercenary Payments: Mercenary Cost -25%, Benefits for Mercenaries: Mercenary Maintenance -33%, Mercenary Recruitment: Available Mercenaries +50%, Bookkeeping: Interest per annum -1.00). The last three ideas can wait to the late game.
2. Defensive ideas - purchase the first three ideas (Battlefield Commissions: +1 Yearly Army Tradition, Military Drill: +0.50 Morale, Engineer Corps: Leader Siege +1)
3. Diplomatic ideas - puchase the first four ideas (Foreign Embassies: +1 Diplomats, Claims Fabrication: Time to Fabricate Claims -50%, Cabinet: +3 Diplomatic Relations, Adaptability: Core Creation Cost -33%)
4. Offensive ideas - purchase the whole tree

Thereby I think you can keep up technological and improve your army. We'll know a lot more in two weeks :p
