Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I have researched several "Upgrade" researches and they have no effect. Wind turbines still producing 5 power. (solar worked though?) farms still need the same number of people (after researching automated farms), service buildings still need people (after researching service bots), factories still need same amount of people (after researching automated factories) and extractor production hasnt changed after getting the upgrade (cant remember the name of it). As a developer myself, I understand there are always bugs, however this seems like quite a large one to overlook? No mods.

After further investigation I was simply unaware of the game mechanic, the upgrades need to be built, I did not know that since the solar panels were upgraded automatically. Sorry for the callout. No bug here.

Can you replicate the issue?
Unsure, first and only playthrough, the level of research needed is large so time sink would be large to test.

Have you checked if you have to build the upgrade? I'm on my first play through as well, so I haven't gotten all the upgrade research done, but I know Moisture Vaporators have to be manually upgraded and there is a cost.

I literally just signed on to mention that, I am a moron, and did not realise that after you research an upgrade you must then build it on the buildings, I thought that it was automatic since the solar panels upgraded automatically. There is no bug, just a misunderstanding
