Surviving Mars PS4 game crashing

I just purchased the 1st colony edition of this game and downloaded yesterday, so far I can't get the game to do anything but crash as soon as it gets to the first load screen.

I have attempted to uninstall and re-install, thoroughly cleaned my ps4, as well as installed with none of the add ons, no matter what I do game crashes on first load screen before even getting to menu. Very frustrating as I just dropped $70 on this and was really excited to play.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I'll never understand how a game that runs on one console can fail to even start on an apparently identical one I thought that was the whole point of consoles!

The only thing I know to suggest is:

- uninstall the game from the PS4

- clear the PS4 cache and game files (save game data)

- rebuild its cache:

- install the game again


If that doesn't help, I guess all you can do is seek a refund from where you bought the game.

Thank you for replying, I tried your suggestions and now unfortunately I'm waiting for playstation to get back to me about reimbursement.
