Dear Paradox,

You almost have Multiplayer, you only need to aply the same principle of the space race but online, let us start a space race with friends and this game would be fantastic. Just give us a tablescore, the oportunity to send covert operations and trade. If the other person disconnect of the match doesn't mean that the match it's over keep what the person did to that point for resume later. Anything that we do to another colony while the other player is disconnected it wouldn't affect him but it would give more probabilities to success to the attacker player.

Another thing I would like to see is factions shouldn't represent a game difficulty but a playstyle.

For example my favorite Faction it's European Union but I would like to play with minimum funds and one rocket, without advantages, just my Zero G Lab and my Astromobile with Antena it's perfect for my playstyle, I don't need the extra funds per investigation or none of that. I have friend who likes to play with japan because the drones and automatic extractor but obviosly he is in disadvantage because he only starts with 100 of investigation per sun and other disadvantages.

Please balance all the factions and let us choose difficulty (amount of funds, rockets and extras) separately.

1st problem : the game speed have to stay the same for every player (probably x2 or x1.5)
Also if one disconnect he'll have high disadvantage or the game will be paused i don't know :/ it's hard to think about this.
And Even with a x3 game speed it take hours to reach like Sol 60-80.

One first thing who could be nice is a ranking system with scoring (mod disabled for ranking mode of course), i try to launch one on the forum, but we can use some mods too.

That's the beauty of this game, each player could go to his own speed, for example lets say I'm playing at 3x speed but I find water at sun 10 but the other player it's playing at normal speed and he finds water at sun 8 initially I would have the milestone but when the other player finds it the points are subtracted from me and give it to the other player.

The Sun it wouldn't represent the total time of match but the time of each colony separately. Think how world records works, doesn't matter how made it first but better.

Due to the large times that matches last it's important to be able to resume a multiplayer match and it won't matter if one of the player is disconnected because everybody will have independent suns.

It would be nice to have a a view of the rival colony and it doesn't have to be in real time, just a view without drones, just buildings and if you want to gather information about the rival colony you will have to send covert operations.

Huh ? no lol it will create very unbalanced game if speed isn't the same XD the x3 speed is very fast and you can have lot of people or ressource before the other lol

Again ... it doesn't matter because everyone has it's own suns and the milestone goes to the one who made it better not first. A player could end his match and establish his own score in 1 real day and other player could do it in a week but do it better, he could make it in less suns and it will have better score and he will be the "winner".

Oh yeah i see :O A game can stay like 1 Week, but for Trade it have to be nicely calculated depending of the production, but another problem come :/ About Deposit amount (i use the mod who refill them it can work with that) It's really not easy to make :D

If you do it like this, then any direct interaction (trades, covert operations) would not work. Either you sync them in real time (in which case the Sol 200 player with their resource advantage can be spamming covert operations on his poor Sol 50 opponents) or they are synced to in-game time, in which case there's no sensible way to handle the Sol 50 player sending covert operations against the Sol 200 player who has already long past that point in time. Neither case works.

You could do it like in Age of Empires 2, where the game speed can be set and locked before the game, or you can not lock it, and anyone who changes the game speed changes it for everyone. You could also use a save game feature like in Age of Empires 2, where the host saves it and can resume it later. It works extremely well in Age of Empires 2 (As evidenced by the incredible number of players still playing multiplayer after 20 years) and it would work here too. I would really like multiplayer, and clearly so would others, so it would be nice if it was added, but not everyone has to play it.
