Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
After the latest DLC and patch install the game crashes randomly after 20-30 mins of gameplay. It does not provide any error message, the game doesn't freeze or anything it just simply exists without any warnings and I'm returned to the same screen where i started the game from previously. the MAC OS doesn't freeze it's fully functional after the crash and i can restart and play the game, however progress is lost unless i just had autosave or manual save before.

Can you replicate the issue?
There is no direct way to reproduce the issue, as i didn't recognize any in-game mechanics that leads to the issue directly, ie: no specific action in game leads to the issue directly, but it keeps happening simply by playing the game. It happened to me 4 times in a roughly 2 hrs gaming session then i gave up because i lost too much progress. Currently the game is unplayable as a results of this.

Even with 8gb of memory you seem to have run out. The game's published requirement is 4gb, but that was before all the expansions of course. Does it help if you exit every other app possible before you start the game?

Can you see how much memory the game itself is using as it runs?
 
Hey everyone! We had thought that the issues would be resolved with the Cernan patch - it seems that it fixed the issue for most Mac users, but not all.

I have to say that does look like a game bug, or at least an incompatibility with the new libsystem_platform.dylib in 10.15.7 - I haven't played this game since going to that MacOS version myself.

Do you have the Apple crash report like the one in post #62 above? That will help if there is evident memory problems .

But anyhow I disconnected an usb audio device (Focusrite Scarlett) and now the game seems to run without problems. I'll come back to this forums when further crashes occur.

It's still crashing. I switched to auto save every sol. Now it takes longer until the crash happens, but it's still crashing. Please give me some instructions how to get the right crash report.
 
Normally MacOS will pop up a crash report like the one in post #62 above, if so just paste its contents into a text file for us.
