Description
Graphics are messed up really bad on Mac

What is your game version?
latest, just installed it

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The graphics look all messed up, in pretty psychedelic colours, heh. I'm posting on a new thread because I haven't seen other glitches that look like mine.

I'm running on a Macbook Pro late 2015, 16 GB RAM and AMD Radeon R9 M370X 2048 MB.

Can you replicate the issue?
Yes, each time I start a new game

Do I understand that I cannot expect this to work out?
The fixes for Mac problems on supported hardware will probably fix them on unsupported hardware (such as yours) too. But that cannot be guaranteed.

A lot of the problems reported are actually ICONS not showing on the ui... which sometimes show and sometimes don't so, the game itself in terms of rendering runs fine on Macbook + IRIS (model 2016+).
it's clearly a bug that I would have expected, should have been spotted by the developer before the release, statements like the above are very frustrating.

I can understand that! I'm just trying to correctly set the expectation of those who are on unsupported hardware.

This bug is also present on Linux. Not quite the level of acid as OP, but the ground textures are discoloured, and so are many other structures and objects (the rovers are red, and so is my beacon tower).

System:
Linux/Kubuntu 17.10 (with backports)
GPU: AMD RX480
CPU: Intel i5-6600K Skylake
Mobo: ASUS Maximus VIII GENE

There was an update to the game today saying that it contains a fix for most issues.
It looks like it does not fix the map rendering issue though. I have tried all display presets, lower resolutions, switching between the map screen and other ingame screens and disabling Steam overlay, but none help as can be seen from the attached screenshots.

I have Macbook Pro, mid 2015, running El Capitan 10.11.6
Model: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7
RAM: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Video Integrated: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
Video Discreet: AMD Radeon R9 M370X, 2048 MB

Ouch! So no fix then? I've got a different problem (everything is brown and overly-shiny) and can't tell from the patch notes if this does anything for that issue. Don't want to re-buy / reinstall until I know for sure!

I've got the same issue with the terrain texture rendering. Happens on all Graphics settings. Game basically unplayable right now. It also appears that I'm getting the over bloom effect on the rocket as well, although it's difficult to tell. How the heck did y'all decide this game was ready for release? Downloaded/Installed 3/20 so I pretty sure I got the patch already.

Actually, the new patch fixed my graphics issues (I had the ground looking all weird brown and all the buildings flashy white). Here are my specs if that helps:
iMac 27" (late 2013) 3.4Ghz Intel Core i5, 16Gb Ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M 4GB.
Cheers!

What you are describing is different from the problem discussed here if you look at some of the screenshots above.
I have seen in the other MAC thread that indeed the weird brown ground and glowing buildings is resolved by this patch.
What is not resolved yet is the map rendering problem which leads to the map terrain being displayed in all kinds of different colours.

Hi Guys,

Can anyone with the bellow or very similar specs confirm if the problem with the map rendering showing all kinds of colours(like the attached screenshots) is also present on MAC OS newer than 10.11 (El Capitan)?

Model: MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)
Processor: 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7
RAM: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Video Integrated: Intel Iris Pro 1536 MB
Video Discreet: AMD Radeon R9 M370X, 2048 MB
Current OS: El Capitan (10.11.6)

My question was more about the newer Mac OS versions like Sierra (10.12) and High Sierra (10.13)

BUT. AMAZING NEWS. I JUST UPDATED TO HIGH SIERRA AND THE RENDER PROBLEM IS SOLVED. THE TERRAIN IS PERFECTION. I AM SO HAPPY. :D

@pala So you are saying that the problem was there on El Capitan, but disappeared after you upgraded to the latest MacOS - High Sierra?
