Game wont start on PC (Steam)

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I bought the game from Steam the other day but I am unable to run the game until now.

When I start the game all i see is a black screen with white box at the center, then "Not Responding" and nothing else.

System:
Operating System: Windows 10
Processor: AMD A10-7400P Radeon R6, 10 Compute Cores 4C +6G (4 CPUs), ~2.5GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
DX Version: DirectX 12

Display:
AMD Radeon(TM) R6 Graphics
Approx. Total Memory: 2258MB
Display Memory (VRAM): 493MB
Shared Memory: 1765MB

Can you replicate the issue?
Run the game.

I am having a similar problem on Steam differing in that I do not crash, instead the game (Surviving Mars: First Colony Edition) just hangs at the New Game loading screen. Until today, game has run perfectly. No Mods are being used.

PC specs:
OS: Windows 10
Processor: Intel Core i7-7700 @ 3.60GHz
RAM: 32GB (2133MHz)
DX Version: DirectX 12

Display:
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050
Memory: 2GB DDR4
Shared GPU Memory: approx 16GB

Already did those steps (upon seeing the same suggestion for EU4) before submitting a report. Still the same.
I already filed a refund on Steam as I think it has something to do with the minimum requirements not being met.

So I cannot try any further solutions you'll suggest but I hope this gets fixed in the future as I plan to buy the game again when it's out of the early access phase.
