Game freeze when launching encyclopedia

What is your game version?


Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I play on steamos, with steam controller. The game freeze when I try to browse the encyclopedia. note that it seems it doesn't freeze right away, it takes a few seconds. I cannot relaunch the game one I force quit from the steam menu, I need to reboot.

Can you replicate the issue?
Issue is replicated each time I access the encyclopedia from anywhere in the game.

Game freeze when trying launching encyclopedia: Yes. I can confirm this issue.
All I can do is moving mouse pointer (game style). Game/UI locks. Closing only via task manager possible.
Game version: 227.923 steam, german, INTEL PC, see dxdiag attached.
I could repeat issue 3 times.

Game freezes still after "spirit update" when clicking on the "?" symbol to access lexicon for information for example rover, buildings etc. UI freezes, mouse pointer of game still moveable. Same issue as mentioned above.
