Space Race, Green Planet, Below and Beyond

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
When I start a new game, it hangs on the loading screen, flashes red, then pulls up a stack trace - which I have attached a screenshot of. I am not using any mods.

Can you replicate the issue?
Yes. I start the game in Steam, click on "New Game" in the options menu, wait and then it crashes.

This is the Mac crash in LUA that several users have reported. Work is ongoing and I don't think it is due to be fixed in this week's hotfix I am sorry.

Some users report that reducing the video quality settings, or disabling Vsync helps.
