Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Game worked fin until I installed Steam Workshop items. After that it would not even start. So I removed them all, reinstalled the game on a different drive, and it starts. After scanning and landing the ship, once I open the build menu, and I get infrastructure and power icon, clicking on either soft locks the game. Task Manager reports the game is still running, so NO ERROR LOG IS CREATED.

Notice in the pic, BOTH build menu icons are highlighted. As if the game forgets where the files are. This was obtained after 9 reinstalls.

Can you replicate the issue?
Yes, simply buy uninstalling and reinstalling everytime I start a game it get to the that two icon menu point and that is all.

What I'd suggest is a full clean reinstall of the game:

- move any valued save games elsewhere; they are under
C:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\{large number}\
- "uninstall" in Steam-Surviving Mars
- unsubscribe from ALL mods in the Steam Workshop for this game
- manually delete both the Steam/SteamApps/common/Surviving Mars AND C:\Users\{Username}\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\ folders
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.
- add MarsSteam.exe to the exceptions list/whitelist of your antivirus app
- start the game with no mods active and test

In particular you need to make sure there are no files or folders left under either the Steam SM or AppData SM locations, before installing again.

Negative Ghostrider. Same issue. I have to hold "B" and as soon as I click on one of the icons Soft Lockup. No logs. game still appears to run, but nothing is clickable. Have to Taskman to kill it. Any WINREG entries associated with this game?

WOAH! It generated a log this time!!!!

It still shows loading Mods, but there are none... WTF???
