Surrounding the enemy capital = starvation?

Dear all,

I am trying to unlock the "Bearer of Artillery" achievement. After an initail push in which I encircled and destroyed 14 German divisions in the Breslau area, I managed to push west and surround Berlin. The overall situation is not one of the best, as Hungary joined the Axis and caught my southern front totally undefendefended.

Nevertheless, the Wehrmacht doesn't seem to be affected at all by the fact that Berlin has been encircled almost 2 weeks. Does this mean that the "rush for the enemy capital" to starve the opposing armies has been fixed in HOI 4?

Exactly... I was just wondering if this was still the case, but apparently is not. Good!

They fix that? That was a pretty big flaw in the game

Not only is the capital not the only source of supply, the effects of loss of supply are slower than what you are picturing. In most cases it is 30 days after units are cut off before the OOS effects become significant.

Supply without the capital is limited to local supply only which in the given situation will provide only a small portion of what the Germans need. Simply give it another 2-3 weeks and you will see the Germans start to unravel.
