V1.00 - I've played through a series of WWII campaigns and several things should be looked at, I'd say.
1) France. Surrenders with GER holding Paris, and only Paris. It's possible to order every GER soldier on the Western Front to rush Paris and immediately trigger a French surrender even if the salient is completely unsustainable. I'd say the trigger should require GER ownership of Calais, Paris, and Strausburg, to ensure true GER advance into France.
2) UK. The UK has a handful of surrender events, all of which seem at least confusing. From what I can tell there's a British surrender if the UK isn't allied to the US, which releases a Fascist England. This is trouble for a couple reasons: first, there's no choice not to accept this funny puppet. Second, this funny puppet only owns UK territory in the Isles that you as GER don't hold, leading to very funny borders. Third, this event seems to have a couple versions, and I can't figure out why. Fourth, it releases Fascist England, but over all the Isles, which is odd. Really, as GER, I'd rather not accept their surrender than have a funny-looking puppet. Finally there's a full UK surrender event, bringing peace with the Allies and a fascist UK - this event force-releases my Scotland puppet for some reason, and oddly doesn't surrender your claims on UK colonial territory as part of the peace. Generally, these events seem like they need work. At the very least the British Surrender event needs to give you a full occupation choice.
3) Mobilization Triggers. When I mobilized for WWII in 1939, I only partially mobilized, b/c at the time it seemed sufficient and it avoided dissent. Come 1943, I'm running out of manpower, but have conquered France and SOV, and therefore... disabled the Reform the Military decision permanently? That's very odd. In fact, it seems strange that these events require you to be at war against specific countries at all. It seems to me that you should be able to mobilize if you're at war and you need it.
4) Demands for Territory. While, after Bitter Peace, SOV will always demand its territory back, the AI for France seems programmed to never demand territory from GER, even though I got them into the Axis through ordinary diplomacy (not the "Meeting" decision). I would have given it to them had they asked, but their AI didn't seem to want it back.
5) Nat'l Spain. As GER, Nat'l Spain absolutely refused to budge an inch, even after Europe belonged to the Axis. I needed Gibraltar, but there was no way to get through Spain w/o fighting them. They wouldn't ally, nor would they give military access, nor would they surrender Cadiz if I claimed it. It seems like their AI shouldn't be so stubborn, especially as to military access, given that the alternative is 70 GER divisions ruining their day.
Just a few thoughts. Maybe V1.01(b) takes care of some of this, but hopefully this will help.
