Forget about supporting rebels they are meaningless. How about a mission to support civil war?

Yes of course, but how about supporting them secretly? I would like to lend them troops like in Ricky and HoI2. It should perhaps give the loyalists a CB on me if they find out. Perhaps there could be a percentage chance of my troops being identified as mine depending on how often they fight. Also, it should be possible to ask/pressure a country into trading a resource to you rather than your rival/a random other country!!
For example, you should be able to say that you want to trade some grain from one of your provinces + 0.10 gold per month for another nations Iron. Or you should pressure a country to stop trading with your rival (embargo) for fear of your invasion!
At the very least, you should be able to offer a country to establish a trade route even if it does not have any slots available. This will give it the option of reconsidering its position, abandoning the old trade route and establishing a new one!!
The current system of first come first served is a bit weird and unrealistic, imho.

I also wish there could be some ways to convince other countries to break their ties (trade wise or alliance wise) with another. I'd like to be able to get some of the allied countries of Macedonia to side with me (a minor) instead of with them so we can take down Macedonia.
