i think i learned something useful.when attacking somewhere you lose org. for moving, right?and slower you move more org.you lose, right?so i asked myself how can you attack without moving?SUPPORT ATTACK!so the strategy is simple, set 2/3of your units on support attack.other1/3should move.
when engaging you wil see that support attackers lose less org. per hours of combat.when you took the province the 1/3 will do their best untill the main forces arrive.
does this work for you too?

If too few units enter, you might not be able to hold it. This is particularly true if you are in a "Pitched" battle with large, tired formations, which of course is one of the times you most need good org, and usually have exhausted levels.

they are not there to defend succesfully.the moment offencive battle is won all troops should move at once.obviously the1/3will be closer to the target area but at the brink of loss.the2/3will be following behind with more org.
the moment 1/3reaches,they will perish due to high level of counter attacks.but when they lose and retreat,it means that a group of less organized(due to fighting while moving) enemy divisions will be on the way to the province.but the main army of 2/3will be almost there with much more organization and will be facing a relatively less organized enemy.also i remind you that the counter attacker party of enemy troops will be much less than a main combat formation and probably underprepared.

trust me i used "support attack" and i've seen the difference:i defeated full power germany as soviet union at least 60%faster.
