There are a few issues with supplying soldiers.

1) If I have teritories over seas and convoys deliver supplys, why can't I set what province is my port?

2) It would be nice if me, as USSR for example, can send a huge stockpile of supplies to Leningrad in case it is sieged. For example send 30k before war starts, that way I can have a bunch of divisions there and they can guard it until I can lift the siege (somewhat historical).

3) I noticed that ports oversees can not hold more than 10k supplies. Also I was wondering, if I increase the number of convoys, more supplies get there daily?

I was wondering the same thing. If you try to setup a supply convoy, the number of destination ports is very limited. How does this work?

AFAIK it´s the first province that you enter on an island or area that you can´t reach otherwise; e.g. if you as GER invade NOR via Bergen, your supply port will be Bergen and thus vulnerable to British attacks. However if you choose Oslo, your supply route will be much shorter and better protected.

Yes you are right. I invaded Spain with ITA and landed on Seville. This became the supply port. After conquering Spain and later on Gibraltar, I wanted to cancel that supply route as it is vulnerable to convoy raiding. Instead I wanted Valencia to become the supply port. But that seems impossible. I even edited a save game and changed the supply convoy to Seville and made the destination port Valencia. This seemed to do the trick, but only for a while. The AI did not send enough supplies via this supply route. I cancelled it and wollah, it created a new supply route to...Seville.

Somewhere in the game a variable is set that determines that the first province you conquer is the default supply port. But where? Is it possible to edit this?

Yes, players should be able to chose which province is the supply port. Provinces must be able to handle more than 10k supply. And players should be able to stock supplies in provinces at the risk of being sieged.

surely you can pick your supply ports (embarkation and destination) if you swith of auto convoys and manually control it? Also put more ships carrying supplies/oil into a convoy run to build up the supply stock in the port of destination?

Do you just reply everyone to get more posts? Read the thread carefully, we are not discussin what you are suggesting.

and what would be the advantage of having a larger post number? Does post count impress you? Especially since i have 102 posts at the time of writing this and i have been a member for 3 and a half years. Does that sound like a "reply to everyone spammer" to you?

And i did suggest an answer to the OP's question in regards to setting which port is the port of embarkation. I'm sure it can be done manually. As to the question of number of supplies sent, yes i'm sure it can be done if you increase the number of ships in a convoy going to the province in question. And in my 4 years playing the HOI2 series, i have never needed a province which is not connected by land to my capital to have a store of more than 10k supplies.

Also, if you cancel/re-engage auto convoys, its good practice to wait for 24 hours to pass just in case.

No I just noticed how useless and off topic your answers are and I also noticed that you made a round to answer every recent post there is.

1) People have confirmed that you can not change the port in game, and you should be able to, it is a feature request. No one is supposed to save their game every time they want a port change and go modify save files, that is cheating. This should be a feature of the game.

2) My question did not relate to the amount of supply send, but to the storage amount. Ports cannot store more than 10k and they should be able to.

3) My main concern was the fact that people are not able to store supplies in provinces that are linked by land to the capital and they should be able to. For example Leningrad is always sieged in my scenarios by Germany. I would not lose it so easily if I would have supplies there to last me for a while, you know, like it actually happend in History? I should be able to ship a certain amount of supplies in Leningrad just in case there is a siege.
