As the us. if i annex italy. do my units in italy get supplies. or do i have to convoy from italy to washington then back to italy. also..if i take over a island that produces rubber. do i need to convoy it back to the us to get those resources.

actually its just a twist on the first. do the same rules apply with a puppet state. and for clarification, a puppet state, you control whats left of the countrys armys right? i know the values of resources and mp are lower with a puppet v annex.

I believe your units will be supplied by Rome, but I'm not sure. Your should alread have supplies flowing to Italy if you are ready to annex them! As for a puppet state, they will grant you military access so yes, your units will be supllied, I know that for sure. I'm not sure about armies. I think how it works is some will join the new government, some will join the oringinal country's allies (if any). This is the same with colonies.
As for the rubber, yes, you must convoy it back to the home/mother/father-land to us it. Once I forgot, and all that time used getting colonies was a waste .

If there isn't a land connection to your capital, supplies must be convoyed in.

So, as the US, you need to convoy resources to Italy.

Do keep in mind though, that supplies are very bugged in combat, so wheter you will get the -20 % out of supply modifier is somewhat random.

If you do not have a land connection from your capital, you need to send oil and supplies in a convoy to that area. So your units in Italy do need a convoy of just oil and supplies unless they are in an ally's territory. The ally supplies your units in an ally's territory, not you, but you might want to send oil and supplies anyways in case your ally does not do a good job of supplying your units. Click on the convoy and check off supplies and oil while clicking off the other resources (coal, oil, and rubber). Send one large convoy rather than several small ones (large is > 100 transports).

Any place listed below your capital can cumulate resources up to 9999 of each. You can ship those resources back to your capital with a convoy. For industrial production purposes the game simplifies this by requiring that all resources for industrial production have to be sent back to the capital. You do not need to have rubber, coal, and steel in Hawaii for the industrial production there. This simplification was used to avoid lots of micromanagement for countries like the United Kingdom.

In 1.06 it's debatable whether annexing or puppeting gives you more resources. Are you playing 1.06?

yes, im playing 1.06 with C.O.R.E. so...if i control italy but havnt annexed or puppet it yet, i need to send convoys from mamma. when i annex/puppet it they are now my allies and i dont? if thats the case..why does the us have a convoy going to the phillipines?

If you annex, you will need to send supply convoys. If you puppet, Rome will supply you.
