Playing as UK, 1936.

Vichy France exists. Remaining Free French Forces go on offensive in East Africa against the Italians. They have no visible supply source expect for me and my provinces that surround the Italians.

The French forces take the following provinces:
Gondar, Addis Adeba and Magalo.

I use my forces and take the other 5 provinces Italy owns, thus removing them from Africa entirely!

However, there are now three provinces (see above) that belong to the French. Thinking they would be supplied by my friends I move in two militia units to Addis Adeba to garrison it.

Unfortunately, these are not being supplied and are disbanded!

However, if I move troops to Greece, these are in supply.

Is this a bug? Surely, the French provinces should be infact English? Afterall, there are no French provinces connected to them, they should be getting supply from me?

Have saved game if required!

Where is the French capital? Carribean maybe? I think you need to send supplies from the (new) capital to Africa.

supplies should be traced though allied territory in 1.04 (I admit, it doesn`t work 100% of the time, but we couldn`t find the reason for this so far). for most cases it should be fixed though :)

Fench Cap is indeed in the caribbean. However, as I said Im playing as UK so have no control of French convoys. However, my convoys to Port Said supply enough troops (30 divisions or so) from Tobruk to Lindi, inc. all Ethiopia except the three French provinces.

Essentially, my supplies do not get through to these three areas (or at least Addis Adeba) even though the French have trrops there!

Therefore, its like one black hole!!

I am assaulting Italian, Yugoslav, Bulgaria and Hungarian forces on a Greek Front (15 Divisions) with no supply problems. Greece is an ally!

Thanks for both your reply. I guess this is an X-File!

Not to worry it was only two militia units. Rollon 1.04:)

If you like.....

Bear in mind that the French must have been out of supply as they had no traceable supply route back to their front lines when they took those 3 provinces.

Unless of course I was supplying them, in which case they should UK provinces.

IMHO this should not be marked known.:(

I've run into this playing as the British. Belgium was overrun and the belgian army mostly made it to france where it proceeded to run down to zero organisation because of lack of supplies. Later in the same game invading the south of France I set up a supply chain and the British divisions are fine. The half dozen Canadian divisions which arrive again rapidly decline to being totally useless, as do the French divisions which return from wherever they were hiding.
