When I was playing with Soviet Republic in Kaiserreich, I went into the war in central Asia. My soldiers bravely (haha) surrounded Alma-Ata, staging my greates portion of my army in Taldy-Kurgan. Then suddenly, a wild EVIL group of partisans appeared in Sar, and my army was cut from supplies. There is a lake near them, so why can't I supply them through the lake?
Plus, we could use rivers as supply lines. If Czeczhoslovakia got her hands on Constantza, (why, doesn't it happen every time you play?) she could send supplies there through the Danube. Unless she get's in war with some other country in the way of course.
