As shown on the attached screenshot, currently the Supply limit map mode paints provinces green even if their supply limit is smaller than the army force, apparently due to the fact that you can still not take attrition in such places with high-maneuver generals — even if the army is with no commander. However, that should simply not be the case. If I wanted it to be so, I would have assigned a general to this unit in the first place.

Therefore, there should at least be contradistinction. In addition to the dual yes (green)—no (red) mode, it'd be advisable to add a “yes — with a proper general” option, painted yellow, with the colour scaling from bright to dark shade depending on how much general maneuver is required. Currently the map mode can outright mislead players, but a simple change described above could solve the problem and remove the confusion.
